Aranyawas Temple

Wat Aranyawas was built in 1837. It was originally called Wat Pa. It has now been renamed Wat Aranyawas. The temple is like a forest in the city. The abbot is Phra Khru Phithak Nanthakun. Wat Aranyawas has built the 100-year-old Phra Khru Nanthawuthikun Museum as a memorial to the former abbot. It houses newly-built Buddha statues carved from golden teak, jackfruit, etc. There are Buddha statues in various postures, as well as ancient Buddha statues that are hundreds of years old that have been passed down for Buddhists to worship.
