Stayed at this hotel for five days during my five-day trip to Nanjing

Kempinski Hotel Nanjing Experience After attending a conference in Yangzhou, I made a special trip to Nanjing to check out the Kempinski. My previous stay at the Kempinski Jinan in a corner room left an excellent impression—spacious walk-in closet, high-quality bedding that even allowed my dust mite allergy-prone body to sleep soundly all night, plus transparent pricing where paying just 100-200 yuan more could secure a corner room. This time in Nanjing, I opted for the corner room again, and the experience remained satisfying, even exceeding expectations. ✅ Soundproofing/Hygiene: - No noticeable soundproofing issues, and the hygiene standards were good. Bedding quality was consistent, meeting the needs of those with sensitive constitutions for a restful sleep. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: - Standard rooms (excluding suites) are around 45 sqm, a moderate size; the corner room design is outstanding, and the junior suite I stayed in had a well-thought-out layout. - The interior blends European and Ming Dynasty styles, with the bed headboard featuring clean lines depicting Ming palace architecture. The walls have a smooth, elegant texture, and the frosted glass in the bathroom is of high quality. - The toilet and bathroom are separate, ensuring privacy and convenience; some room types come with two toilets, accommodating multiple users simultaneously. - Rooms facing west offer views of landmarks like Deji Plaza and Jinling Hotel in Xinjiekou; for better views, the 270° panoramic rooms are a great choice. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: - Toiletries are Ferragamo in small bottles, ensuring quality. - Robot delivery service for takeout is fast, enhancing convenience during the stay. 💰 Average Cost: - Pricing is reasonable, with corner rooms only requiring an additional 100-200 yuan over the base rate. Good overall value, and the owner is generous with room upgrades. 💗 Other Tips: - The hotel is located on Longpan Middle Road, close to Xi'anmen Gate to the north, Ming Palace to the east, Xinjiekou to the west, and Qinhuai River to the south, making it convenient for travel. - The fifth-floor lobby is uniquely designed, with imitation bricks and dragon sculptures recreating a royal atmosphere. The abstract-style portraits of the 16 Ming emperors on the side of the lobby bar are worth seeing. - At check-in, inquire about room upgrades. I was upgraded from a Deluxe King to an Executive Deluxe King (higher floor, better views), and corner rooms may also be upgraded to junior suites. - Highly recommend the breakfast items like pan-fried buns, duck blood and vermicelli soup, noodle station offerings, and Chinese cold dishes (lotus root, preserved vegetable stems, and cold dressed tripe). The yogurt is thick and tangy, with a unique flavor. - The hotel offers a welcome service, proactively assisting with luggage. Guests receive commemorative gifts like pens and bookmarks at check-in, a thoughtful touch. - The breakfast restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, making for a comfortable dining experience.
