Cafe Milan, a cute cafe in Kayabuki Village, Kyoto

Cafe Milan is a small home cafe in Kayabuki no Sato Village, located on a hill above the village. When you reach the village museum, walk a little further and you will find this cafe. This cafe is famous for its “Egg Pudding” and “Homemade Ice Cream” because Kayabuki Village is famous for its fresh and clean eggs. When cooked, they taste especially delicious. They have a menu of drinks, coffee, tea, fresh milk, and desserts, such as pudding and homemade ice cream in 3 flavors: fresh milk, black bean, and yuzu orange. They also have souvenirs to buy and take home, such as fresh eggs, egg chiffon cake, postcards, and various souvenirs. We ordered the shop’s signature menu, egg pudding and homemade ice cream in milk and black bean flavors. The pudding is smooth and melts in your mouth. The ice cream is also delicious and not too sweet. Before you leave, don’t forget to pick up a brochure from the shop.
