Hehuanshan in Taiwan is stunning all year round, with May being popular for alpine rhododendron viewing and winter for snow scenery. However, autumn offers the most breathtaking sea of clouds, while summer showcases vibrant wildflowers and lush greenery. To experience the sunset and sea of clouds, visit Hehuanshan on a crisp November afternoon. As evening approaches, the clouds rise and roll like a vast river flowing between the mountains. The peaks appear like islands floating on the sea, and as the sun sets, the entire sea of clouds and mountain tops glow red. This grand and magnificent beauty is something you must witness in person. At that moment, you might recall these poetic lines: "Walking to the end of the water, sitting to watch the clouds rise." and "The sunset is infinitely beautiful, but it’s near dusk." Summer is the perfect season to hike Hehuanshan and escape the heat.
