I went to Naples, the largest city in southern Italy! It is known as a city of such scenic beauty that people say you should see Naples before you die. The atmosphere is completely different from big cities in northern Italy such as Rome and Milan, and it is a little dirty with trash scattered on the streets. However, it is not as unsafe as rumored, and as long as you don't go to dangerous places such as near the central station at night, I don't think you will have any safety issues.
