Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum

The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, just two blocks away from the Guggenheim Museum, is a wonderful museum that you cannot miss! This museum was founded by the three granddaughters of the famous industrial expert Peter Cooper about 120 years ago. From early clothing and fabrics, craft decorations, special furniture, technical industrial products, ecological materials and other types of art works, it has a diverse collection and is an extraordinary creative museum! It is hard to imagine that such a low-key, Georgian-style old building is actually a museum that collects the best designs in the United States. The recent curatorial theme is livable and caring for society, which is wonderful!
