Nice, the romance of the South of France created by the sea and alleys

#July Travel Support Fund Nice was a city that felt the leisurely atmosphere unique to southern France at first glance. The endless Mediterranean Sea and the red-roofed buildings blended together to make my heart flutter as soon as I arrived. The coastal promenade Promenade des Anglais was the first step of my trip to Nice. The gentle breeze blew while walking along the blue sea, and the sight of people riding bicycles or walking along with the sound of the waves was truly peaceful. Just sitting on a white chair on the beach and looking at the sea was enough. The alleys of the Old Town (Vinice) were another attraction. Yellow and orange buildings lined the alleys, and there were small cafes and cute shops. In particular, the Cours Saleya Market was filled with the scent of fresh fruits, flowers, and herbs, allowing me to experience the daily lives of the locals. When I climbed up to the Colline du Château observation deck on the hill, I could see the coast of Nice, the old town, and the Mediterranean Sea stretching out in the distance at a glance. The sea and sky turning red at sunset were truly a movie-like scene. Finally, we finished the day by enjoying fresh seafood and rose wine at a seaside restaurant.
