Phu Thao Thong Temple, Nong Wua So District, Udon Thani Province

Wat Phu Taphao Thong is located on the Phu Phan mountain range, Ban Nong Waeng Si Chomphu, Tambon Kut Mak Fai, Amphoe Nong Wua So, Udon Thani Province. Currently, the abbot is Phra Khru Khemkanchanopas (Suphan) with 6 subordinate monks. It is a temple of the people under the Thammayut sect. The temple has been legally permitted to be established as a temple of more than 15 rai. Most of the area is a stone field. You will find more than 30 large stones with unusual shapes. The temple has developed a walkway and a path to each stone, connected by wooden stairs, so that tourists can go up and admire the beauty of the forest and the incredible variety of forest plants growing on the stone mountain.
