#summervacay Batam is often overlooked, but it’s a fun, easy escape especially for those coming from Singapore or Malaysia. There’s a mix of resorts, local seafood joints, and shopping, but I really enjoyed exploring the smaller beaches like Nongsa and going on an island-hopping tour. Watersports are big here too—jet skiing, banana boats, even parasailing. It’s not the quietest destination, but it’s a convenient, affordable, and cheerful place for a tropical weekend getaway.
