Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Worawihan

Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat Worawihan, Nonthaburi Province It is considered an ancient temple. King Nangklao ordered its construction in 1847 to dedicate to his grandfather, grandmother, and mother. There is a beautiful chapel in the style of King Rama III, which is a mixture of Chinese art. The roof of the chapel is covered with Chinese corrugated clay tiles. The pediment is decorated with brightly colored glazed tiles from China, decorated with leaves and magnolia flowers. Inside the chapel is the Phra Phuttha Maha Lokapinantha Patima, a Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, cast from copper. Behind the chapel is a Sri Lankan-style pagoda. The pagoda is round with a two-tiered octagonal base. From the base to the top, it is approximately 45 meters high. Inside, there are relics of the Lord Buddha. There are two other buildings built alongside it, which have similar architectural styles, including a pediment with a mixture of Thai and Chinese art. The only difference is the size of the building, which is the chapel and the royal parian. Wihan Phra Sila Khao This Buddha image is enshrined in a teakwood pedestal covered with gold leaf and decorated with glass. It has beautiful and graceful patterns. The Royal Pali Ordination, which enshrines “Phra Phuttha Patima Chaiwat” as the principal Buddha image.
