Umeda Shopping District Guide!

You’ll walk till your feet hurt but won’t want to leave. This time in Osaka, staying in the Umeda shopping district was truly a blast! From the moment I got off the airport bus and saw Yodobashi Camera, I started my shopping spree 🛍️. The sky bridges here connect all the major malls, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost! On the second floor of Yodobashi Camera, there’s a huge Starbucks that stays open until 11 PM. LINKS Mall is fantastic for browsing; I got glasses at JINS and picked up plenty of affordable accessories at 3coins! It opens as early as 9:30 AM, making it super comfortable to shop in the morning. By noon, I headed to LUCUA for lunch. The B2 floor is packed with so many food options that it’s hard to choose 😋. LUCUA and LUCUA1100 are connected, and LUCUA1100 has even more brands, making it easy to find everything you need! Hankyu Mall has plenty of eateries, but during peak hours, you’ll need a ticket to wait for a table. I recommend avoiding the trendy spots and instead choosing places frequented by locals—they’re often more reliable! On the first floor of HEP FIVE, the takoyaki stand and the Detective Conan Café are both worth checking out. I stayed at Hotel Unizo Umeda this time, which was peaceful but a bit far from the subway. Dragging luggage was quite tiring! Next time, I’ll definitely stay closer to the malls so I can drop off my shopping haul and head out again right away 🥹. All in all, the Umeda shopping district is so fun that you just can’t stop exploring!
