Isshin-ji Temple is not your typical tourist destination but rather a place of deep cultural and spiritual significance. It is known for housing the ashes of faithful individuals, and the atmosphere reflects that—peaceful, calm, and full of reverence. Walking through the temple grounds, I felt a strong sense of tranquility, making it a refreshing escape from the bustling streets of the city. The architecture of the temple is truly impressive. The unique structure stands out with its modern yet traditional design elements. It’s a beautiful blend of history and contemporary aesthetics, which makes it different from other temples I’ve visited in Japan. While the temple may not be as crowded or famous as some other landmarks in Osaka, it holds its charm in the serenity it offers. It’s a wonderful place to pause, reflect, and take in the spiritual ambiance.

A small temple with peaceful atmosphere. There were lots of adorable cats around, making the visit even more special. The street leading to the temple is also beautiful—perfect for taking lovely photos. A hidden gem for cat lovers and anyone who enjoys quiet, scenic spots.

On our last day in Osaka we started the morning with a visit to the Lion Shrine. What a magical place! Without a doubt one of the coolest things I’ve seen in Japan. We had some peaceful time here but after a while it started to get busier. After taking a few nice photos, we wandered around the area a bit more.

A very beautiful, calm, and peaceful temple. I bought a ticket to visit the inside, and it's well worth it: the place is really well kept. The atmosphere is serene, far from the noise of the city. A great place to discover Japan's Buddhist history. A must-do if you're in Osaka!

Tallest observatory tower in Osaka. Came here at 8pm on a weekday, and there was no lineup but I missed the beautiful sunset scene. If you want to take advantage of both the twilight and night view, then time your visit. There is a bit of light effect while taking the elevator up to the 60F and that was interesting.

Beautiful night view with all lights making it so colorful. Very crowded with locals and tourists. Better allocate enough time for this area if you want to do something shopping and have meals here apart from just taking some nice pictures. Pretty much have everything here. The vibe is very touristy and if you enjoy being in the crowd, this is the perfect place. Become very crowded at night and it more lively during the night with all the light from the shoplots. Most of the shops except for restaurant/ food closed pretty early,some close even before 9 pm, so plan your time wisely.

Amazing place, you start off at the top floor and work your way down. Kaiyukan is one of Japan’s biggest and best aquariums. We were impressed by the layout of this aquarium - you take the escalators up to the top and then you slowly work your way down in a circular motion around the main central tank, ensuring that you don’t miss anything and that the flow of people is smooth and organized. The crowds were tolerable - lots of people but not in a chaotic way. As you work your way down, you see fish and other aquatic life from different areas of the world from playful otters to curious dolphins to energetic sea lions to laid back penguins and much more. The star of the show is the central tank with the gigantic and majestic whale sharks. One could spend hours admiring them, and some do. Allow at least 2 hours to see the aquarium, though 3 hours will allow more time to sit and admire the animals more, plus explore the gift shop at the end.

A must-save hotel for around 40,000 KRW per person within walking distance of Dotonbori, Osaka..❤️ Located a 10-minute walk from Namba Station and 20 minutes from Dotonbori, this hotel near Namba Station costs about 80,000 KRW per night for two people. During the off-season, it was possible to stay for around 60,000 KRW per night. Since Japanese hotel rooms are small and usually don’t have twin beds, I recommend it for those who prefer to sleep in separate beds. There is also a Korean staff member, making communication easy, towels are replaced daily, and umbrellas are available for rent. It’s within walking distance to Namba Station, Dotonbori, and other key tourist spots, making it convenient to plan your travel route 👋

Crispy outside, soft inside, the filling tastes great, the sauce is rich with just the right sweet and salty balance. But I deducted points because it burned my mouth. 10/10🌟 Butter Beer USJ Harry Potter zone The creamy foam on top is sweet, fragrant, soft, and delicious, similar to caramel mixed with butterscotch. Tender, melts in your mouth. I ordered a marinated egg to add richness and got free rice refills. Meat lovers must not miss this! Want to go again. 10/10🌟 Nakamura Tokichi A matcha cafe with both drinks and desserts. Seems like everything is matcha with seaweed tone. The matcha ice cream is very delicious. Next door is a shop selling matcha and sweets to take home. 6/10🌟 Kura Sushi conveyor belt sushi Shinsekai branch Good price, lots of menu options. Tuna is delicious, but salmon is just okay. Uni is a bit fishy. Personally, I don’t like it because I feel some menu items at Sushiro in Thailand are fresher and tastier. For sushi lovers like me, I can eat the least here.
