During this Osaka trip, I made a special visit to the Ikoma Building located near Shinsaibashi. Initially, I was just looking for a place to have lunch, but I unexpectedly discovered that this building is a food paradise for locals! The building has seven floors, each featuring restaurants and shops with different themes. From affordable ramen and sushi to premium yakiniku, there's something for everyone. The prices are much more reasonable compared to Dotonbori, yet the taste is just as good! I highly recommend the "Ikoma Ramen" on the 4th floor. The rich tonkotsu broth and tender chashu are a delight, and a bowl costs only ¥800—great value for money! Additionally, the "Sky Garden" on the 7th floor offers a stunning view of Osaka's cityscape, perfect for photos and social media posts. The biggest advantage of this building is that it's not crowded. You can enjoy delicious food without waiting in long lines, making it a haven for travelers who dislike crowds. There are also convenience stores and drugstores nearby, making it easy to shop while you're in the area.
