Osaka Tenmangu Shrine

A shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. A short walk from Minamimorimachi along Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street. I happened to pass by and was happy to be able to stop by this famous plum blossom spot during the season. There was a line to offer coins, but a staff member said, "You don't have to line up. You can also line up from the side." During the COVID-19 pandemic, people were keeping their distance from others and lining up well, but it was so relaxed that I couldn't help but laugh. You wouldn't normally skip your turn in front of a god, would you? With one word from the staff member, the line cleared in an instant.
