Phra Ram Ratchaniwet Palace or Ban Puen Palace

This is a beautiful and unique palace in the European Thai style. It was built during the reign of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, who intended to build a European-style palace for use as a royal residence during the rainy season. Built in European architectural style, this palace is considered one of the most beautiful palaces in Thailand. The palace uses Baroque and Art Nouveau architectural styles, or what the Germans call Jugendstil. The palace emphasizes modernity and does not have intricate stucco patterns like buildings of the same era. This palace emphasizes the height of the windows and the height of the ceiling, which is especially wide, making the palace look large, majestic, elegant, and spectacular. Ban Puen Palace There are many other things to see in this palace, namely the interior decoration of each room, which has a different look, both in terms of colors and materials used. For example, the staircase area is decorated in green tones, the dining room is decorated in yellow tones, the door frames are decorated with Art Nouveau wrought iron, and the walls are decorated with bright yellow glazed tiles. The frame is cut with green tiles in vertical spaces. The wall tiles have embossed patterns of animals and plants at intervals. The royal bedchamber uses a gold tone.
