Retracing the history of Phimai Stone Castle

Phimai Stone Castle was built during the reign of King Suryavarman I around the 16th Buddhist century to serve as a temple for the Brahmin religion. The layout of Phimai Stone Castle is similar to Mount Sumeru. Phimai Historical Park has an entrance fee for Thais of 20 baht.
