Khun Inthaprom Temple

Built in the Sukhothai period, it is home to the second largest reclining Buddha in Thailand, after Wat Bang Phli Yai in Samut Prakan Province. It is 50 meters long and is called “Phra Si Mueang Thong.” The Buddha image is similar in shape and size to the Chaksi Reclining Buddha in Sing Buri Province. It is assumed that it was built in the same period. The reclining Buddha was originally enshrined in the chapel, but later it was completely destroyed, leaving only the pillars, making it look like it was enshrined on a mound of dirt. The locals therefore called it Khok Phra Non. When the capital was lost for the first time, this temple was burned down and became deserted for over 100 years. Wat Khun Inthapramun is located in Inthapramun Subdistrict, Pho Thong District. Take the Ang Thong-Pho Thong route for about 7 kilometers, turn right and go for about 2 kilometers.
