From a famous shopping mall in the past, now a minimalist hotel "Hotel Midtown Ratsada" Today, I had the opportunity to stay at a newly opened hotel in Phuket town. I must say that it is "very cool". Many people who are Phuket people or have lived in Phuket for a long time must have heard the name "Phuket Shopping Center, the shopping mall that is said to have the first escalator in Phuket". Now it has been transformed into a very chic minimalist hotel in the middle of the city. It can be said that it is convenient and close to everywhere. Because it is a shopping mall in the middle of the city in the past, it has an advantage in terms of location. From the building structure that received an outstanding architectural design award in 1982, it still retains its charm and beauty in a Sino-Portuguese style mixed with colonial style. This makes the hotel still beautiful and reflects the identity of Phuket people. As for the guest rooms, I must say that they are beautiful. They emphasize simplicity but are fully functional. By turning a shopping mall into a hotel, it has advantages in many ways, both in terms of the size of the guest rooms, which are quite spacious, the corridors are wide and airy, and because it is an old shopping mall, there is no problem with parking. The parking lot is connected to the corridor on every floor. The color used is white and red is used in the areas that need to be highlighted. It has a minimalist feel with arches. And simple furniture, no wardrobe, but a hanging rail and open shelves. In terms of the common area, it is also very well done. The pool is on the 3rd floor. Although it is small, it creates a gimmick with one side of the pool wall being glass. The lobby emphasizes simplicity but elegance in a minimalist style, using mainly white and red. I must say that this is another hotel that I am impressed with, both the hotel itself, the location, and the story that the hotel communicates through various things, whether it is old pictures of the hotel itself or a cool artwork of an escalator.
