Piazzale Michelangelo is the most famous city viewpoint in Florence, Italy. It is located on the south bank of the Arno River, on the hills in the Otrano district south of the city center. Before arriving at Michelangelo Square you need to walk a small ramp up the hill, there are no restaurants on the way up, so remember to eat before going up! Every sunset there are many locals and tourists sitting on the steps of the square to take in the view, and luckily you will also encounter a live band performing in the street.
