#summervacay I just had a truly awe-inspiring visit to the National Museum in Prague! Winter really is a perfect time to explore museums, and this one absolutely left a lasting impression on me. Even though it's described as a comprehensive museum, I noticed its strong focus on natural history, which I think is its real strength. The experience actually begins the moment you walk up the grand staircase at the old building's main entrance, leading you right into the main hall – that alone was such a memorable start! I found myself completely captivated, just standing beneath that magnificent golden domed hall. I could have spent so much longer just soaking in that opulent atmosphere. The animal specimen and fossil exhibitions were definitely a huge highlight for me. The combination of the museum's grand architecture and those colossal skeletons creates such a stunning and impactful visual. It's a kind of beauty that just gives me chills every time. The marine animal exhibit also really stood out. There was one hall with a giant octopus decoration that I thought was incredibly artistic and even had this cool, almost "Cthulhu-esque" vibe – super unique! Beyond the main exhibits, I also really appreciated all the exquisite architectural details throughout the museum. They just added to its overall beauty and grandeur. It felt like a truly immersive and beautiful experience, perfectly blending the wonders of the natural world with breathtaking historical architecture.
