Phra Kona Shrine, Roi Et Province

Located at Ban Ku, Wat Ku Phra Ko Na, Village No. 2, Tambon Sakhu. Traveling from Roi Et Province, take Highway 215 through Mueang Suang District. Ku Phra Ko Na is located at Ban Ku, Village No. 2, Tambon Sakhu, Amphoe Suwannaphum, Roi Et Province. It is another Khmer architectural site with a medium size, not too large. Ku Phra Ko Na consists of 3 brick prangs on a sandstone base, arranged from north to south, facing east. There is a surrounding wall and an entrance arch. The central prang is plastered and built in layers. Each layer has a niche for the Buddha in all 4 directions. The front of the central prang on the lower floor is a Phra Phutthabat shrine decorated with the original 6 Naga heads in front. The temple built a pavilion to cover the northern prang. Inside, there is a pediment carved with the Ramayana and a carved image of Narayana reclining on the ocean, which is originally located above the front door. In addition, there is a lintel on the front that falls to the floor, showing the image of Shiva sitting on a bull and a column of beautiful women. It is assumed that the original Ku Phra Kona had a Naga bridge and a walkway with female pillars extending from the front door arch to the pond or Baray, which is about 300 meters away. Therefore, from the overall artistic style of the carvings and the door frame pillars, which are Khmer art, dating back to around 1560-1630 (Papuan style), it is assumed that Ku Phra Kona was built around the 16th Buddhist century. #VisitHistoricalSite #WorldHeritage #TourismTip #BuffetReview #CafeReview #SecretLocation #NorthIsanTeam

Religious tourist attractions in Roi Et Province, Thung Khao Luang District, are outstanding for being a temple full of large stucco statues, including a large pagoda decorated with various stucco patterns. These beautiful and unusual stucco sculptures were created from the vision of Luang Pu Kham Pan Chanchoto, the abbot. They include stories about the life of the Buddha, ideas reflecting the teachings of the Dharma, religious principles, Thai literature, and models of local culture and traditions. You can walk around and enjoy the view. Wat Pa Non Sawan is also nicknamed Wat Mor Din because it uses clay pots, a handicraft product from Ban Yang, to decorate many parts of the temple, especially in the area of the ordination hall. There is a large and convenient parking lot at the temple. Tourists can visit at the appropriate time.
