Golden Gate Park Welcomes Its Largest Public Art Installation in History

San Francisco's Golden Gate Park is set to showcase two major highlights this summer—the "Naga" art installation and the Dahlia Garden. "Naga" is a 100-foot-long, 25-foot-high sea serpent sculpture that originally debuted at Burning Man in 2024. It features 5,000 hand-forged, shimmering scales that light up, and the serpent's nostrils even blow bubbles. Over 200 volunteers are helping to complete this project, which is expected to be finished by late July, making it the largest public art installation in Golden Gate Park's history. Meanwhile, the Dahlia Garden, also known as Dahlia Dell, is a free public garden boasting over 700 varieties of dahlias. Dahlias have been cultivated in Golden Gate Park for over 100 years, with their peak blooming months being July, August, and September.
