Nestled quietly by the riverside, the traditional Hanok-style literature museum feels like a small poetry book, blending the breeze, the sound of water, and lines of ancient poetry. Upon entering the exhibition hall, the story of the 'Nakgang Poetry Society,' which spanned over 600 years from the late Goryeo to the late Joseon period, unfolds before you. Gazing at the 'Nakyucheop,' a collection capturing the scenes of scholars reciting poetry on boats floating on the river, I found myself pausing unconsciously. Though time has passed, the elegance and sentiment of those days seem to still breathe in this place. I also learned for the first time that Sangju is a hub for literary figures and a birthplace of children's literature. Looking at a simple children's poem and handwritten manuscripts resembling a child's handwriting warmed my heart. It was here that I rediscovered how literature can quietly touch the soul. After leaving the museum, I walked to Gyeongcheon Island. The sunlight spreading over the river, the gentle breeze, and the lingering aura of the literature museum behind me created a serene moment.
