A travelogue filled with the charms of Sapporo and Hokkaido

#July Travel Support Fund Sapporo had a calm and leisurely atmosphere unique to Hokkaido spread throughout the city. The city center and nature coexisted closely, so I felt comfortable throughout my trip. The first stop was Sapporo Odori Park. I really enjoyed taking a walk in the long park that stretches out in the middle of the city, looking out at the Sapporo TV Tower with the fresh air. It felt like a resting place in the city because there were flowers and festivals held there every season. After that, I visited the Sapporo Beer Museum. You can see the history and manufacturing process of Hokkaido beer, and at the end, you can taste fresh draft beer, so it was like heaven for beer lovers. If you come to Sapporo, you must try the soup curry and Genghis Khan (grilled lamb)! The soup curry, which was deeply infused with spices, was warm and refreshing, and the Genghis Khan was light and tender without any peculiar smell, so it was really delicious. The next day, I went up to the Moiwayama Observatory and looked down at the city of Sapporo and the distant sea. The night view was especially beautiful at sunset, and the wide open scenery unique to Hokkaido was refreshing. Finally, I stopped by Hokkaido Shrine and finished my trip by feeling the tranquil atmosphere of a traditional Japanese shrine. I also walked around the nearby Maruyama Park, and I was able to feel another charm of Sapporo that blends in with nature. Sapporo was a place where food, nature, city, and culture were all well-balanced.
