This temple is the head temple of the Shikoku 88 Sacred Pilgrimage Sites in Fukuoka. It takes about 3 months to walk around Shikoku to visit the Sacred Pilgrimage Sites, but here in Sasaguri, you can complete the pilgrimage in 3 days by foot or in 1 day by car.
