Semporna— Seeing the World is a Process of Demystification

Sharing my travel itinerary — for reference only (parent-friendly version) 🌴 Day ① Direct flight from Chengdu to Tawau — 5 hours ✈️ Smooth entry! Our airport pick-up driver took us straight to the hotel & town — about 1.3 hours by car. Plan some buffer time. We just rested at the hotel on Day 1 to prep for island hopping on Day 2. A. Hotel Tips — Water Villas or Town Stay? If you have the budget and spending power, definitely go for the water villas without hesitation! I’ve stayed at MWB and Star Mabul — each has its own style (details in my previous posts, not repeating here). Overseas hotel check-in is usually at 3 PM. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage and explore a bit. Staying in town on the first and last night is more convenient. Day ② — Island Hopping 8:00 AM — hotel transfer to Longmen Inn Pier to set off 🚤 🌴 Pom Pom Island Snorkeling — lots of little fish 🐠 The water is amazing — straight out of The Blue Lagoon! 🌴 Mataking Island My absolute favorite island — no competition! Entrance fee: 30 MYR We even saw a big lizard 🦎 The cape views were stunning. We had lunch here and wandered around — absolutely breathtaking!!! #thingstodo
