Chic place for a drink and light meal in Hapjeong

#timetotravel A friend who lives in Seoul recommended this place for a drink and quick bite and we just loved it! the restaurant ( although it calls itself a bar) is located between Hapjeong/ Hongik University and only about 5 min walk from either metro stations. The bar, Hunmingjeong, is in a building with 3 levels. It can easily be spotted as the side façade facing the parking lot has a large image of King Sejong who invented the Korean writing system in the 15th c. We sat on the 2nd level with a great view of the interesting Japanese izakaya across the street. The menu was not extensive. We ordered the mixed pancake and the chicken dish thinking that it was a stew chicken dish. It then turned out to be a large plate of delicious fried chicken! We were overjoyed as it was so delicious and absolutely perfect for our pre- dinner happy hour. The restaurant is opened until 2am daily and 4am on Friday and Saturday! #whattoeatinseoul #southkorean #seoul
