An extraordinary visit to a gallery that’s more like a miniature art city.

Kukje gallery. It consists of at least five to seven buildings and numerous gallery spaces, all architecturally stunning and perfectly designed for showcasing art. The structures range from traditional Korean architecture dating back centuries to contemporary galleries, including one designed by Florian Eisenberg, a renowned architect. While the architecture alone is worth the visit, there’s so much more to explore—checking the gallery’s website for current exhibitions is a must. Outside, there’s an additional exhibition space, and tucked away in the same alley is a charming hidden café. I visited during Anish Kapoor’s solo exhibition, which was spread across three buildings. Moving between indoor and outdoor spaces to see all the artworks added a unique dimension to the experience. #seoul #kukjegallery
