Seoul Ikseon-dong - A Must-Visit Spot!

Recently, I visited Ikseon-dong in Seoul, a place recommended by my Korean friend. As someone who loves revitalized old buildings, I was deeply captivated by Ikseon-dong. It not only features unique restored hanok (traditional Korean houses) but also offers shopping, dining, and Instagram-worthy photo spots. My friend and I spent two hours there strolling around and enjoying desserts. The dessert shop we visited was called DongBeak Bakery Soufflé Pancakes. We decided to go in after seeing the menu outside. DongBeak Bakery specializes in soufflé pancakes, which are made to order and take about 20 minutes to prepare. We ordered the honeycomb and nut-flavored pancake, which was absolutely delicious. We also tried the omija (five-flavor berry) juice and iced orange coffee—perfect refreshments for a hot summer day. Ikseon-dong also has many unique clothing stores, including modernized hanbok (traditional Korean attire), though they are quite pricey, around 1,000 HKD. However, there are also more affordable options like T-shirts, various fashion styles, sunglasses, and perfume shops. It's definitely worth exploring, especially for women. Ikseon-dong is located near Gyeongbokgung Palace. You can get there by taking the subway to Jongno 3-ga Station. If you have time, it's a place worth visiting.
