A visit to Gangdong Arts Center and the surrounding trail

🔮 I visited Gangdong Arts Center, located in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, along with the nearby trail. It’s a perfect short healing trip where you can enjoy both nature and art while staying close to the city. 🌳 Gangdong Arts Center The Arts Center impressed me with its clean and modern exterior. Although the exhibition space isn’t very large, it’s charmingly and thoughtfully arranged, making it ideal for a light visit. The performance hall also looked quite nice, and I’m considering coming back to watch a show next time. There’s a café and rest area, which are great for taking a break. 🍁 Walking the trail A short walk from the Arts Center leads directly to the trail. The route I took was part of the Iljasan Trail, which has gentle slopes and plenty of shaded areas under the trees, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. The quiet forest path, rare in the city, left a strong impression, and the open views along the way allowed me to pause, relax, and enjoy the breeze. You don’t need any special equipment—just a pair of sneakers is enough to fully enjoy the trail. It’s well-maintained and beginner-friendly.
