Myeongdong Staycation~!!! Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Seoul Myeongdong Deluxe High Floor Family Twin.

The hotel is tucked between City Hall, Bukchang-dong, Namdaemun, and Myeongdong, conveniently located near City Hall Station and Hoehyeon Station. The reception is on the 1st floor. As you enter the main entrance, a giant Line Friends Brown character greets you. This hotel even features Line Friends-themed floors and character rooms. I explored the hallway on the 14th floor. The rooftop garden on the top floor (18th floor) is currently closed due to construction, as confirmed by the staff. I stayed in a room on the 17th floor. Although the hotel has reopened, some adjacent rooms on my floor were still under construction. Facilities like meeting rooms and the spa on the same floor were also undergoing renovations. The guest room is notable for its hinoki (Japanese cypress) bathtub. The hinoki bathtub is spacious and square-shaped, emitting a distinctive aroma. It fills with hot water quickly, making it perfect for a relaxing soak. The bathtub alone deserves high praise for its condition. The view includes the Bank of Korea, the Central Post Office, and Shinsegae Main Store, with a partial glimpse of Namsan Seoul Tower. However, the window screens cannot be opened, making it difficult to take clear photos. As a family room, it features two double beds, accommodating up to four people. The room is well-suited for business purposes, with a long table that can hold multiple laptops or tablets, and a lengthy sofa. There are four meeting rooms available, making it convenient for various uses. The room is studio-style, so the space feels somewhat limited compared to its overall size. While the guest room windows are small and restrictive, the meeting rooms and spa areas have larger windows, offering better views. The bed condition was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. Nearby, Bukchang-dong Food Alley offers various dining options, including several chicken restaurants, making it easy to grab a late-night snack. I enjoyed a staycation with chicken and beer in the room. A convenience store is located right in front of the hotel, adding to the convenience. Although breakfast was not mentioned during check-in, I discovered the basement fitness center operating the next morning. Upon inquiry during check-out, I learned that breakfast was available. It would have been nice to know in advance, as I would have tried it. Later, I saw an announcement on Instagram—perhaps I stayed too early! Still, the excellent condition of the hinoki bathtub makes up for everything. I also noticed another hotel near Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station. I plan to visit that one next time.
