A calm climb up Achasan 🌿🌇

I’m not a hiking person, but Achasan was gentle enough for even someone like me. It didn’t feel like I was trying to conquer anything. Just walk, breathe, and be present. The trail starts near Achasan Station, on Line 5. Take Exit 1, walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you’ll see the entrance to the trail. It’s clearly marked, and there’s even a little convenience store nearby if you want to grab water or a snack before starting. The path is shaded and easy to follow. Birds were calling from somewhere above, and I passed a few people walking slowly like I was. No rush. No noise. It took me around 40 minutes to reach the top. The view surprised me. The Han River looked soft and still from up there. Lotte Tower stood quietly in the distance, and everything below felt far away and calm. A few people were sitting on the rocks, sharing fruit or sipping from their water bottles. No one said much. We were all just taking it in. If you have a free morning in Seoul and want something peaceful, this might be it. You don’t need anything fancy. Just wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. Go early if you can. The trail is cooler, and the morning light makes everything feel slower. Start in the forest. End with a view.
