Seoul's "Hangang Bus" Ferry Debuts

The Hangang Bus is Seoul's newest water-based public transportation, with trial operations starting on July 1, 2025, and official service launching in September. The bus connects 7 ferry terminals between Magok and Jamsil, including Magok, Mangwon, Yeouido, Oksu, Apgujeong, Ttukseom, and Jamsil. It offers a new commuting option on water, helping alleviate road congestion. Onboard amenities include panoramic windows for river views, personal tables, and a cafeteria serving drinks and snacks. Weekday operating hours are 06:30 - 22:30, with 68 trips/day; weekend hours are 09:30 - 22:30, with 48 trips/day. During peak hours, departures are every 15 minutes, and every 30 minutes at other times. The express trip from Magok to Jamsil takes 54 minutes, while the regular service takes 75 minutes; the journey from Magok to Yeouido takes about 24 minutes.
