The total underground area is 20,064 square meters, the total above-ground area is 34,870 square meters, the building height is 34.1 meters, and it has a 1,600-seat theater, a 400-seat multi-purpose hall and two outdoor theaters. In the Shanghai Poly Theater building, natural elements such as water, wind, and light blend and weave in a simple geometric space, creating layers of light and shadow. As the first large-scale cultural facility project designed by Tadao Ando in China, the Shanghai Poly Theater combines international cutting-edge architectural trends with traditional humanistic aesthetics to create a public art exchange space where nature, architecture, art, and humans can coexist harmoniously and freely.
