2 Days Trekking - Tiger Leaping Girge

🚌 Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge We took the 8:30 AM bus from Lijiang (36 RMB) — entrance to the park is 45 RMB. Ask the driver to drop you at the Naxi intersection, but note: the actual trailhead is 1–1.5 hours uphill or a 40 RMB shared taxi ride. A good reference point is Naxi Yage Hotel, where you can probably leave your bag. Alternatively, start from Teacher Zhang’s Guesthouse, which offers a luggage transport service to the end of the trail — very convenient if you’re carrying a heavy backpack. 🥾 Day 1: Naxi to Tea Horse Guesthouse This is the most stunning (and hardest) part of the trek, with incredible views of the snow- mountain— the only stretch where you’ll see them. Take your time and enjoy the views. We stayed at Tea Horse Guesthouse — great food, cozy rooms, and unbeatable views. Highly recommended, especially since it’s the last spot to see the mountains. 🥾 Day 2: Tea Horse to End Point (via Halfway & Teacher Zhang’s) This section is easier and focuses more on the gorge itself. We passed Halfway Guesthouse and followed signs to Teacher Zhang’s, where buses wait to take you to Lijiang, Shangri-La, etc. Though we heard they run at 2 PM or 5 PM, we found one at 2:30 PM (60RMB) which even stopped at scenic viewpoints! 💡 Tip: If you’re short on time or energy, you can reach most guesthouses by taxi. For a lighter hike, consider Naxi to Tea Horse — short, scenic, and satisfying.
