Xiangyang Temple is an ancient temple from the Ming Dynasty, located in the Xiu Lake Scenic Area at the northern foot of Qipan Mountain. Xiangyang Ancient Temple was first built in 1575 AD. It belongs to the Xianzong Buddhist sect and is very famous in the local history of Liaoning and Shenyang. According to legend, before Nurhaci, the founder of the Qing Dynasty, entered the Shanhai Pass, he had a conversation with the old abbot at Xiangyang Temple, where he gained insights into life and suddenly became enlightened. He then seized the world in one fell swoop and established the Qing Dynasty. 🐾Among the Qing Dynasty cultural relics collected by the Shenyang Palace Museum, there are more than 20 poems praising Xiangyang Temple alone. Xiangyang Temple originally covered an area of ​​several hundred acres and had two floors of halls. The upper hall houses full-body statues of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, the Eighteen Arhats and others, and is painted with colorful murals; the lower hall houses the Four Heavenly Kings. There is a brick pagoda and a Buddhist hall built on the south side of this hall. There is a plaque hanging high above the temple gate, engraved with the four characters "Shuangfeng Cuishui". The original temple has been destroyed, and the current Xiangyang Temple has been rebuilt in accordance with its original appearance. 🐾The rebuilt Xiangyang Temple is located on the south bank of Xiu Lake Reservoir in Qipanshan Scenic Area, with a planned area of ​​30,000 square meters and a building area of ​​9,999 square meters. The number "nine" represents auspiciousness and nobility. The main buildings in the temple include the Main Hall, Guanyin Hall, Heavenly King Hall, Bell and Drum Tower and Archway Gate. Among them, the Main Hall is the most magnificent. It occupies the highest point of the temple, overlooking the entire situation with magnificent momentum. There are also other scenic spots such as the Buddhist Hall and Xiangyang Spring. The entire temple is densely covered with ancient trees and looks solemn and majestic. Its layout follows the natural undulating terrain of the mountain and is well-proportioned.
