Weekend Staycation | First Experience at SAHE, Shenzhen's Pioneer

| My first stay at SAHE, Shenzhen's debut location. For several weekends in a row, I've chosen staycations up north—a modern way for working folks to unwind and recharge 🏨. Decided to treat myself with some birthday vibes 🍰 by checking into the newly opened SAHE Hotel in April 🆕, its first outlet in South China. 【Location】 As a premium brand under Atour, SAHE charges 1k+ per night 💰, rivaling five-star hotels. Perched right above KKONE in Futian, Shenzhen, the hotel's 6th floor connects directly to the mall and cinema—perfect for slipping downstairs in pajamas to grab Ah Ma Handmade drinks. Futian High-Speed Rail Station is under a 10-minute drive away, and the hotel entrance has both bus stops and subway access for easy travel. 【Ambience】 The lobby exudes a strong Eastern aesthetic with its moody, mysterious dark tones. At check-in, you can pick a scent 🉑, and they’ll deliver the matching diffuser to your room later. Both "Qingyu Green Pomelo" and "Pine Embers Galaxy" are delightful fragrances. Every space is infused with calming aromas, offering a luxe experience dozens of times more refined than Atour’s S series. 【Room】 I loved the design where the bathroom and bedroom are fully separated by a wooden door 🚪, eliminating any noise from water at night. The room is midsized (30+ sqm) but feels spacious thanks to a huge mirror 🪞 and floor-to-ceiling windows with chill high-rise views. The full set of LELABO toiletries was so good I wanted to take it home 🥹. Despite being new, there’s zero formaldehyde smell. 【Stay】 SAHE uses Atour’s deep-sleep bedding—super comfy, making me want the same sheets. A "One-Touch Deep Sleep" button 🔘 by the bed is perfect for laziness: press it, and the room instantly darkens for easy snoozing. The massive TV 📺 is great for movie nights via projection. Room-service robots deliver takeout lightning-fast. Two days of guilt-free takeout in the hotel? Bliss 😗. 【Facilities】 Laundry service (a hotel staple) is available 🈶, with real-time washer/dryer updates on the TV. The butler even handles drop-off/pickup. Unique perks include a meditation room 🧘🏻‍♀️ for Nepalese singing bowl sessions and a gym with large screens for workout videos. Plenty to do without leaving the hotel! (Previously raved about their buffet breakfast—so good!) 【Drawbacks】 Room service deliveries were slow (maybe understaffed post-opening). Soundproofing is weak—road noise and loud upstairs neighbors had me requesting earplugs. The sink faucet’s twist design is borderline anti-human… slippery hands = struggle. Still, the pros outweigh the cons. Pricy but packed with emotional value. Next time, I’ll try their suites!
