Tashilunpo Monastery in Shigatse

I’m thrilled to visit the stunning Tashilumpo Monastery in Shigatse. Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse Tibet's second-largest city, was founded in 1447 by Gedun Drupa, the 1st Dalai Lama. The monastery has played a pivotal role in Tibetan Buddhism's history and teachings. Its preservation of ancient scriptures, relics, and rituals makes it a living museum of Tibetan culture. The architecture's monastery is unique, and beautiful, and the building has 2 different contrasting color, white and dark maroon. The surrounding monastery is very calm and soothing. Its location amidst the stunning Himalayan backdrop adds to its allure.
