A Castle-Like Restaurant in Front of Izukyu-Shimoda Station

Shimoda is located at the 'tail' of Shizuoka Prefecture. To access Shimoda, you use Izukyu-Shimoda Station. The "Shimoda Clock Tower Front" is located near the rotary to the left as you exit the station. Here, I enjoyed a delicious curry udon. It was a seafood curry udon with shrimp and abalone, and the curry had a rich seafood aroma, giving it the flavor of a seaside town. The unique toppings of sea lettuce and seaweed added an interesting touch. The attached souvenir shop offered a variety of Shimoda's signature sweets, teas, and rice accompaniments. All the items had adorable labels that made you want to pick them up. It felt like the start of a wonderful trip to Shimoda.
