Visit the World Heritage @ Shirakawa-go Gassho-style Village

One of the most wanted trips on this tour is Shirakawa-go, where the village preserves the ancient Japanese residential Gassho architecture, which is already extremely rare in Japan. These houses were built without nails or any other metal materials, but were built using local natural resources, such as using wood to erect the structure and then using straw to cover the roof. Gassho-zukuri or Gassho-style architecture refers to the shape of its roof. "Joint palms" means "putting hands together in prayer", and the shape of these roofs is like the posture of a monk with his hands when praying. Arrive at Gassho Village, first walk through a suspension bridge, then you will see a small Akiba Shrine, follow the walking path towards the village, Gassho-style huts have souvenir shops, selling five flat cakes, selling ice cream shaved ice, also restaurants, tea house and so on. A little further inside there are residential houses that still live here, so everyone should be quiet. My place from the middle position walked to a called Ogimachi Park, very simple only a piece of grass, a few lounge chairs, sit down all around the distant mountains, up close is the characteristic hut, are really quite relaxing. Continuing to walk to the right, there are basically photo spots everywhere, after passing Mingzenji Temple, Gassho Cultural Center, Shirakawa-go Hachiman Shrine, the scenery that appears in front of you is as beautiful as a postcard, sporadic large cosmos, varying shades of pink white flowers, with matching special Gassho hut.
