Travel destination. Siheung Mulwang Reservoir Location. Mulwang-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do Admission fee. None Operating hours. None A large reservoir spanning Mulwang-dong and Sanhyeon-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is a reservoir in the metropolitan area including Seoul, Anyang, and Ansan, and its large size attracts many tourists. Mulwang Reservoir is best visited on a clear and windless day because the clouds reflected on the calm lake look fantastic. So I recommend checking the weather before leaving. There are many famous restaurants around the reservoir, so it is the best place to have lunch. It is a place I found out about as I preferred day trips because it was difficult to travel far during the Corona period. The official name is Heungbu Reservoir, but it was said to be used for agricultural water. In Heungbu, Heung means 'Siheung', but it seems to be called less often now. They say that reeds bloom in the fall, so it seems better to go in the fall. There was a regular deck road around the perimeter, but it was laid with soft straw in the style of a mat(?), so it was newer and I thought it would be less strain on the knees. It is famous as a driving course because the surrounding area is beautiful, so I can recommend it as a day course.
