Go Green at Botanic Gardens (HOT, literally)

The UNESCO World Heritage Botanic Gardens is a large green space in the heart of the city, perfect for spending hours exploring. It is easily accessible via public transportation, including buses and the subway. However, if you visit during midday, it can get extremely hot. It's recommended to go in the early morning when the sun is gentler or in the evening for a more relaxing experience. Admission is free, except for the Orchid Garden, which houses thousands of orchid species. The Orchid Garden is located about one kilometer from the Bukit Timah entrance. While the walk is manageable, it might feel challenging, but turning back isn't really an option 😭. Beyond the Orchid Garden, there are many other sections and corners to explore. If you're too tired to continue or don't want to retrace your steps, about 200 meters away is the parking area of the Learning Forest, where you can call a Grab to pick you up and take you out.
