Khao Noi Pagoda

Chedi Wat Khao Noi, Songkhla Province 🙏Located on the top of Khao Noi, this is an uncemented chedi. The bricks are arranged in a non-systematic manner, in the style of Srivijaya craftsmen. The base of the chedi is a square with a wide angle of about 20 meters. The chedi is broken, leaving only the base, which has a pointed arched doorway. Inside, there is a stucco Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, made by local craftsmen from the Ayutthaya period, at the four corners of the base. 🪷It is assumed that this chedi may be a religious site built in the Mahayana Buddhist sect during the Srivijaya period, contemporaneous with the Dvaravati culture in the central region. 📍 Tambon Hua Khao, Amphoe Singhanakhon, Songkhla Province #Rainy season attractions #Phra Chedi Khao Noi #Songkhla is worth visiting
