Nice, a city full of Mediterranean light and leisure

#July Travel Support Fund Nice was a city that welcomed us with warm Mediterranean sunshine and blue sea as soon as we arrived. The scenery of the cobalt blue sea and red-roofed buildings was a romantic feeling unique to southern France at first glance. The Promenade des Anglais along the coast was the beginning and highlight of my trip to Nice. Walking next to the sea, the cool breeze and the sound of the waves made my heart feel at ease. There were parasols and sunbeds lined up on the beach, and the sight of people leisurely sunbathing was impressive. The alleys of the Old Town (Vinis) had a completely different charm. The narrow and winding alleys were lined with small shops, markets, and cafes, and the yellow and orange colors of each building created a warm atmosphere. The Cours Saleya market, filled with local groceries, flowers, and herb scents, was a place where I could feel the vivid daily life of Nice. When I climbed up to the Colline du Château observation deck on the hill, I could see the Nice coast, Old Town, and the Mediterranean Sea at a glance. The scenery where the sea and the sky meet is literally like a painting. The sunset I saw here at sunset was the best moment of the trip. Finally, I finished the trip with a seafood platter and rose wine at a seaside restaurant. Nice is not fancy, but it is a city that is filled with natural leisure and romance.
