#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck#SukhothaiHistoricalPark #VisitSukhothai #AncientTemple #SililTrip Wat Chang Lom is an ancient site located outside the old city walls to the east, near Khlong Mae Ramphan. The temple is surrounded by another layer of moat. Inside the temple is quite peaceful and shady. Behind the temple is the Chang Lom Chedi, the main chedi. It is a Sukhothai-style Sri Lankan chedi, located on a relatively high base. Below, there are elephants surrounding the base. Some of the elephants under the base are not perfectly beautiful. This is due to time, which has caused many of the elephants to break over time. Around the base, there are also bases of satellite chedis and subsidiary chedis scattered around, with the same layout, except for the base, which we can guess is a Sri Lankan chedi similar to the main chedi, but smaller. Location: Sukhothai Historical Park, Tambon Mueang Kao, Amphoe Mueang Sukhothai, Sukhothai 🕰️Opening hours: Open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

#Get a discount without relying on luck #Wat Chang Lom has an important highlight, which is a Sri Lankan-style pagoda on a square base with 2 levels. The first level consists of 39 full-body stucco elephants surrounding the base on all 4 sides. The elephants at the corners of the base are larger than the surrounding elephants. The second level consists of niches with Buddha statues in the Mara-Vijaya posture, with 17 Bodhi tree sculptures in the background. Scholars assume that Wat Chang Lom is likely the same temple as the one mentioned in the first stone inscription, which reads, "1208, the year of the Rooster, the excavation of all the relics, the worship of the relics was performed for six days, then it was buried in the middle of Si Satchanalai city, the northern pagoda was built six mornings, and the Wiang Pha Lom was built around the great relic three mornings." From this statement, it is widely accepted and believed that it was likely built around 1828 - 1831.
