This jade artifact was originally placed in the Yonghe Palace in the Forbidden City, on a Ganoderma lucidum-shaped base in an enameled flowerpot. It is speculated that it was Concubine Jin's dowry. 😃 After entering the museum, I couldn't wait to admire this precious jade artifact, "Qing Dynasty Jade Cabbage". It shows the excellent performance of the craftsmen's superb skills. It looks like a real vegetable leaf, and every texture and detail has been carefully carved. Standing in front of it, I deeply felt the profoundness of ancient Chinese culture. 😊 The collection here is not only jade cabbage, but also the Maogong Ding, a bronze tripod cast during the reign of King Xuan of the Western Zhou Dynasty (828-782 BC), with a 500-character Jinwen Book of Destiny engraved inside its belly😃 There are also countless precious cultural relics. From ancient paintings and calligraphy, ceramics, gold and silver utensils to ancient furniture and cultural relics, each exhibit exudes a long historical atmosphere and is fascinating. You must spend a day to slowly and carefully appreciate it. It's a pity that another treasure, the "Meat-Shaped Stone", is not here, it may be on display somewhere else... The National Palace Museum in Taipei is not only a place to appreciate art, but also a place to gain in-depth understanding of Chinese history and culture.
