Taipei Hanlai Grand Hotel, Island Language Buffet Restaurant

After two months, I came back to enjoy a 3-hour lunch ❤️ With a co-branded card, it's $1490 per person after a 10% discount. Since its opening, I have visited the island five times. From the first unsatisfactory experience to now, it has gradually improved and I am quite satisfied 🥰 The price difference between weekday lunch and dinner is $300, with only a half-hour difference in dining time. The table settings are not much different, so I recommend lunch. On weekends, the table settings are not much different. Lunch and afternoon tea are both 2.5 hours, and dinner is 3.5 hours, but you get an extra half lobster, depending on your preference ☺️ Island Language features eight themed islands: Qing, Sheng, Shuo, Shan, Xian, Zhi, Bao, and Bin, with over 200 dishes, each island paired with a specific wine. The Nangang branch is designed with a narrow layout. This time, I was very lucky to sit near the grilled oysters, which was truly blissful! Sheng, the raw seafood station paired with sake. This area becomes the main battlefield after the crowd enters. The quality of sashimi and sushi is very good. Xian, various fresh cold dishes, appetizers, and salads paired with white wine. Zhi, paired with red wine. In addition to freshly seared scallops and prawns, there are high-end steakhouse offerings like seared American ribeye, rosemary lamb chops, and tomahawk pork chops. Today, besides scallops, everyone only ate steak and lamb chops. Thank you, Island Language, for offering scallops freely ❤️ Shan, paired with millet wine. Classic Chinese dishes, including Michelin Guide-recommended Fuyuan Taiwanese cuisine's Dongpo pork, Celebrity House's abalone shumai, Peking duck, abalone squid garlic stew, and Changchun rolls. My friends were very satisfied with the Peking duck and Changchun rolls 🥰 Bao, various freshly cooked soups and stews. Interestingly, the XO sauce oyster stew in this area is not as good as Hanlai's, but the cod crab bone broth and wine-steamed clams are quite good. Qing, the beverage station, includes cocktails co-branded with Bar TCRC, which has won numerous awards as one of Asia's 50 Best Bars, and co-branded beers with Taiwan Beer. The cocktails and sparkling wines in this area are very good, and my friends highly recommend the Jin Xuan and Metropolitan. Shuo, paired with refreshing fruit vinegar drinks. The fried and grilled station includes warm oysters, fried oysters, fried prawns, fried abalone, and various Japanese fried foods. Bin, happy desserts. There are still some strawberry desserts left. My favorite is the Island Language's strawberry panna cotta 💞 After two months, it feels like there are many new dishes today. The grilled oysters, Peking duck, and wine-steamed clams are all delicious. It is recommended to park in Area A, which is the closest.
