Overview of the Park Huashan 1914 Creative Park is located at No. 1, Section 1, Bade Road, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City. It was originally a sake brewery established in 1914 by the Formosa Brewery Company. After several transformations and renovations, it reopened at the end of 2005. It is Taiwan's first cultural and creative park, and the earliest, most mature, and most popular cultural and creative park in Taipei. Must-Visit Spots • Historical Buildings: The park preserves the complete architectural complex of the sake brewing industry from the Japanese colonial period, including the tower area, rice wine operation area, and four-unit buildings. It is an industrial architectural art museum that integrates different periods and types of construction techniques. • Art and Performance Spaces: The outdoor alleys provide friendly performance spaces, and there are indoor venues like Legacy where singers such as Hebe Tien and Cheer Chen have held concerts. • Unique Shops: There are small lifestyle spaces that combine canteens, izakayas, flower shops, cooking classes, and pottery galleries. There is also Jay Chou's music and magic-themed restaurant DeJa Vu, as well as Eslite Bookstore and Wind Music flagship store. Art and Cultural Activities The park hosts over 100 exhibitions, performances, and other activities throughout the year. Many events are held annually, such as the MUJI brand exhibition, Disney, Chibi Maruko-chan, and One Piece themed exhibitions. Creative Market On weekends and holidays, there is a creative market next to the large lawn at the park entrance, full of creativity. The park also has a self-service restaurant with a strong 'Taiwanese flavor' and creative shops, making it equally attractive during the day and night.
