The story begins with the 44th Arsenal, which was moved from Qingdao to Taiwan, on the land south of the arsenal. Sisi South Village was built. It was the first military dependents’ village in Taipei, where factory workers lived. During the period when the Kuomintang launched a counterattack on the mainland, their stay as foreign residents turned into a stay that lasted for decades. Under the wave of urban renewal, the military villages were gradually demolished, and now only four row houses remain. Parent-child halls, citizen halls, and the entry of businesses have intertwined to form the current appearance of Sisi South Village. Beer halls, restaurants, and hipster shops that resemble convenience stores allow tourists to find the flavor of Taiwan through small commodities. In the Civic Hall, scenes are recreated of the factory workers' original lives separated by cloth tents, and there are also precious materials such as residence certificates wholesaled by the Joint Logistics Command.
