Rebranding with a fresh start, Xiang La's all-you-can-eat spicy hot pot still delivers!

🔥 Xiang La Spicy Hot Pot All-You-Can-Eat Experience at Taipei Songjiang Branch 📍 No. 131-1, Songjiang Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, 104 🕰 11:30 AM–2:00 AM — 🥵 "Xiang La" was formerly known as "Xiang La," and after a food safety incident, the brand rebranded and started anew. This time, I visited the Songjiang branch, and after dining, I can confidently say their meat and seafood offerings are still top-notch! 🔥 🦐 The seafood selection is impressive: 28 Blue Diamond Shrimp, 24 Angel Red Shrimp, and 16 clams—all fresh and springy. The squid rings are also noteworthy, with a satisfying crunch when you bite into them. 🇯🇵 The Japanese A5 Wagyu is redeemed through a points system, and the portion is just right. The marbling is so beautiful it looks like a piece of art. A quick dip in the hot pot releases an irresistible aroma, leaving you wanting another plate. 😅 🐮 There’s a wide variety of beef options: 18 plates each of Champion Purebred Australian Wagyu and Gold Award Fresh-Cut Wagyu, both rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. These are even more enticing than the Angus Ribeye (19 plates). The Premium Wagyu Under Rib (14 plates) has a springy texture that’s incredibly satisfying to chew. Although I only ordered 2 plates of the sliced beef, it arrived in thick chunks that looked less appealing. While the texture was smooth, it lacked the wow factor, making me less inclined to reorder. 🥲 🫕 For the broth, I chose a mix of spicy and chicken white soup. The spicy broth is aromatic and numbing, perfect for dipping meat, while the chicken white soup is rich and smooth. Side dishes like beef tendon, beef tripe, tofu, and duck blood are well-seasoned and flavorful—those little supporting roles you can’t help but keep ordering. ✨ Overall, the meat quality is consistent, especially the Wagyu options, which are truly outstanding. Combined with fresh seafood and quick service, this place is perfect for indulging in meat and shrimp. After finishing, all I could say was: "I’m so full I can’t move!" 😮💨
